Privacy policy

Paint and Sip Finder is a directory of paint and sip studios. We collect as little personal information as we can. This page explains what we do collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

When you request a listing

If you use the "Request a listing" form, we receive what you type into it: the studio's details, your name, your email address, and optionally whether you are the studio owner or a customer. We use this only to check the studio, add it to the directory, and reply to you if we have questions. The studio's business details may be published on the site; your name and email are not.

When you email us

If you write to outreach@paintandsipfinder.com, we keep your message and email address so we can respond and follow up on any correction you ask for.

When you visit

Like most websites, our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. We use it to keep the site running and secure. We also briefly count form submissions per IP address to limit spam.

Site analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are visited, which sites send visitors to us, and roughly what countries, devices and browsers people use. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites. Visitors are counted with an anonymous identifier that is valid for a single day and a single website. We use these totals only to improve the site.

We also use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how quickly pages load for real visitors. It records anonymous load-time measurements together with the page, device type, browser and country, and it does not use cookies.

What we don't do

• We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't track you across other websites.
• We don't sell your personal information.
• If you tap "Use my location", your browser works out the nearest city on your own device. Your location is not sent to us or stored.
• The only thing we save in your browser is your light or dark mode choice. It stays on your device and we never see it.

If we add advertising or affiliate tracking later, we will update this page first and ask for consent where the law requires it.

Who else handles your information

• Vercel hosts the site, keeps the server logs described above and provides Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights.
• Supabase, our database provider, stores the studio information behind the directory and any contact details a studio gives us when it claims or corrects a listing.
• Resend, our email delivery service, carries listing requests to our inbox.
• CARTO and OpenStreetMap supply the map tiles. When a map loads, your browser contacts CARTO's servers directly, so they receive your IP address and the area you are viewing.
• Studio websites. Links to booking pages, websites and social accounts leave our site. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

We share personal information only with these providers to run the site, or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep listing requests and emails for as long as we need them to handle your request, and then for a reasonable period in case of follow-up questions. Server logs and analytics totals are kept by Vercel for its standard period.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email outreach@paintandsipfinder.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, such as California or the European Economic Area, you may have additional legal rights, and we will honor them.

Children

The site is meant for adults and families looking for classes. It is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, email outreach@paintandsipfinder.com and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
